If you’ve ever attempted to hike your park’s most famous trail on a summer weekend, you know that the biggest challenge is not Old Rag’s rock scramble at the top – it is finding a place to park. Your park has been working on a solution to this issue but needs your help to push the project forward.
In the initial stages of this project, an archeological study was completed on the site of the new parking lot. Based on the findings, the next phase is to complete a “data finding” archeological dig at that site before the lot can be completed. Your support of this project will allow professional and volunteer archeologists to complete the dig under the direction of Dr. Carole Nash of James Madison University.
