Weather Update:
The Summer Safari will be held rain or shine! We ask that you wear shoes that will be able to get wet and are good for walking wet surfaces.  We also recommend umbrellas as there is a walk from the bus drop off point to the tent, which will have sides. If the weather does turn severe we will cancel the event so please monitor you email later this afternoon.

Please join us for a unique evening to celebrate Virginia’s living landscapes. Now in its 8th year, the Summer Safari includes conversations with park rangers, scientists and land conservation specialists in an interactive environment. The event includes wildlife tours at the renowned Smithsonian Conservation Biology Institute in Front Royal, Virginia followed by cocktails and dinner on Racetrack Hill, overlooking Shenandoah National Park and surrounding landscapes. The Summer Safari is a collaborative benefit for The Piedmont Environmental Council (PEC), Smithsonian Conservation Biology Institute (SCBI) and Shenandoah National Park Trust (SNPT).
