You play a critical role in the future of Shenandoah National Park. Whether you have an annual pass or you pay each time you go, your entry fees provide an important revenue stream for Shenandoah. But do you know that a large portion of those fees goes into a national fund that supports parks other than our own?
Do you realize that, while Congress allocates monies each year for our national parks, funding has failed to keep up with inflation and many of our park’s most basic needs are going unmet? The Shenandoah National Park Trust was established in 2004 to help sustain and enhance one of our country’s most beloved national parks. As an official non-profit partner of Shenandoah, we work closely with park staff to identify priority projects that government funding and entrance fees do not cover. And then we turn to people like you-who value Shenandoah’s immeasurable treasures-to help us transform the park’s “wish list” into reality.
