Visitor Spotlight- Silvia Boosten

Q. You live in California but come to Shenandoah National Park regularly. Why?

A: I first I came to Shenandoah in 1981. My father took me on a driving tour. We stopped at all the overlooks to take pictures. It was beautiful and peaceful. I continued the tradition by bringing my daughter here. I’ve been bringing her to Shenandoah since 2001.

Q. What’s your favorite thing to do here?

A: Standing on the porch at Big Meadows and looking at the valley at sunset and sunrise.

Q. Why do you support the Shenandoah National Park Trust?

A: I  was hooked after my first visit to Shenandoah and want to do all I can to make sure other people can fall in love with it, too.
